"The King" collection: This comprehensive set of all 525 colors offered in Sennelier's line of Extra-Fine soft pastels, in a beautiful dark wood box complete with three interior drawers and leather handles. Snug fitting foam protects each stick, in a smoothly finished hardwood cases with brass hardware, as well as leather handles and accents.

It took over three years, at the turn of the 20th Century, to formulate the Sennelier range of Extra Soft Pastels "à l'écu" and thus to create one of the largest chromatic range of pastels. Throughout the century, this range of tones has evolved, but the heart of its making remains unchanged. These extra-fine soft pastels are water soluble and have an unparalleled depth, luminosity and intensity; they are made of 100% pure pigments, with no clay, binders or fillers, so that even a gentle stroke delivers a solid, powerful line of brilliant color. They are lightfast enough to hold color for centuries. The pastels come in a sturdy, varnished and foam-lined box. Standard size sticks come in 525 colors, including 25 iridescent – the largest range available.
